In the recent years, Torrevieja has also expanded the area of sophisticated entertainment and culture. There are also music and concert halls in the region of Torrrevieja, a long promenade with market, a large and colorful weekly market in town, a harbor and marina, as well as various parks and a traffic-calmed pedestrian zone in the city center. Within a radius of about 15 km around Torrevieja are some partly awarded golf courses. The center of Torrevieja is considered a cosmopolitan and multicultural place with many bars and restaurants of all orientations. Torrevieja also has a good access to the airport of Alicante, just 40 km away. You can easily reach the airport in approx. 35-45 minutes by car using the well-developed expressway. Alicante Airport offers a big number of flights to Northern and Central Europe. This also makes Torrevieja attractive for e.g. a short golftrip over the weekend or a fly with simply small luggage to your own house in Spain to catch spontaneously some sun refuel. Torrevieja is just easy to reach.
