There are water sports facilities, windsurfing is particularly good due to a regular prevailing wind. There are sections of the beach which is suitable for Kite surfing. The area is very well served, with top-rated golf courses also.

Los Alcazares is only a 20-30 minute drive from Cartagena City and 40mins to Murcia city. Corvera Airport is a 30min drive, and Alicante is a 1-hour drive.
